Dr. Karin Lorez

Karin is a lawyer and founder with deep expertise at the intersection of technology, finance, and luxury.

She advises brands on integrating blockchain, Web3, and AI while preserving their heritage and exclusivity.

Through her firms Lorez Legal and Scale Compliance, she supports financial institutions, Web3 companies, and digital asset businesses across Switzerland and the UAE with legal and regulatory strategy.

A thought leader and educator, Karin lectures on blockchain, digital assets, and financial law at the University of Zurich and other global institutions.

Her work bridges emerging technology with fashion, art, and luxury to drive innovation in the region.

Liya Dashkina

Co-Founder of FashionTech ME

Liya is a chartered accountant and qualified lawyer with nearly two decades of experience across professional services, banking, start-ups, and venture capital.

She began her career at PwC before moving into banking and later into the world of emerging technologies.

She has held strategic and operational roles at fintech and web3-focused venture capital funds in Australia and the UAE. Liya has also worked at The Business of Fashion, one of the industry's most influential platforms, where she developed a deep understanding of the fashion ecosystem.

In her spare time, Liya writes articles on the topics of Web3 and AI.
